But new research is telling us that lots of pictures, posted to your Google My Business profile, are worth\u00a0even more.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dev.prospectamarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/apple-diet-healthy-eating-41282.jpeg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1722\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1722 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/dev.prospectamarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/apple-diet-healthy-eating-41282-200x300.jpeg\" alt=\"apple-diet-healthy-eating-41282\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.prospectamarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/apple-diet-healthy-eating-41282-200x300.jpeg 200w, https:\/\/dev.prospectamarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/apple-diet-healthy-eating-41282-683x1024.jpeg 683w, https:\/\/dev.prospectamarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/apple-diet-healthy-eating-41282-768x1152.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/dev.prospectamarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/apple-diet-healthy-eating-41282-1024x1536.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/dev.prospectamarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/apple-diet-healthy-eating-41282.jpeg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>A study by BrightLocal, an SEO and local citation company, found that the more images a business has on its GMB profile \u2013 not just photographs, but any images \u2013 result in that business attracing many more prospects than it would have with fewer images.<\/p>\n<p>The study looked at the GMB Insights of 45,000 businesses in three dozen industries and four countries. &#8220;It&#8217;s clear,&#8221; wrote BrightLocal&#8217;s Jamie Pitman, &#8220;that it\u2019s more important than ever to look your absolute best when consumers are searching for businesses like yours.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In other words, don&#8217;t just <em>tell<\/em> &#8217;em what you&#8217;ve got \u2013 <em>show<\/em> them.<\/p>\n<p>The study found that businesses with more than 100 GMB images get:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>520% more calls than the average business<\/li>\n<li>1,065% more website clicks<\/li>\n<li>2,717% more directions requests<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The authors of the study concede that their research does not necessarily indicate a cause-and-effect between GMB profile images and new business. But they stress that GMB images <em>do<\/em> have an influence on customer behavior. The more images there are suggests the greater likelihood of taking customers &#8220;from discovery to conversion.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The study recommends finding creative ways to encourage patients to post their\u00a0own pictures. One suggestion is to create an &#8220;Instagram wall.&#8221; By that, they mean an area in your office that clients would find irresistable\u00a0for using in selfies, like a model or mural.<\/p>\n<p>The takeaway?
