{"id":315,"date":"2017-05-15T23:07:52","date_gmt":"2017-05-15T23:07:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prospectamarketing.com\/?p=315"},"modified":"2017-05-15T23:07:52","modified_gmt":"2017-05-15T23:07:52","slug":"online-reviews-impact-landing-page-conversions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.prospectamarketing.com\/?p=315","title":{"rendered":"Online Reviews Impact Landing Page Conversions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s no secret we believe reviews have become an essential part of running a successful practice (read more in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/prospectamarketing.com\/Blog\/online-reviews-can-practice-afford-ignore-patients-not\/\">Online Reviews: Can Your Practice Afford to Ignore Them When Your Patients Are Not<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/prospectamarketing.com\/Blog\/reviews-online-reputation-and-the-success-of-your-practice\/\">Reviews, Online Reputation, and the Success of Your Practice<\/a>), but what about including patient reviews on a landing page?<\/p>\n<p>BrightLocal, which provides local search marketing tools for agencies, consultants, and local businesses, recently conducted a study to determine\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.brightlocal.com\/learn\/online-reviews-impact-trust-and-landing-page-conversion\/?utm_source=BrightLocal+Users&amp;utm_campaign=041d0ac187-citation_resources&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_42b9d9fc11-041d0ac187-75785733&amp;mc_cid=041d0ac187&amp;mc_eid=93209074fd\">how online reviews impact landing page conversion<\/a>. <strong>Their research shows that putting reviews on landing pages helps boost conversion by 12 percent.<\/strong> This isn\u2019t a big surprise to us, and we have been encouraging our doctors to do this for some time.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s take a look at the specifics of the study.<\/p>\n<h2>Reviews Continue to Be an Important Part of the Buying Process<\/h2>\n<p>In their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.brightlocal.com\/learn\/local-consumer-review-survey\/\">2016 Local Consumer Review Study<\/a>, BrightLocal discovered the following statistics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>74 percent of consumers say that positive reviews make them trust a local business more<\/li>\n<li>84 percent of consumers trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations<\/li>\n<li>54 percent of people will visit a company\u2019s website after reading positive reviews<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>BrightLocal wanted to take these facts a step further to find out if these reviews helped build trust and how promoting a firm\u2019s reputation would impact landing page conversion.<\/p>\n<h2>The Latest Findings on Consumer Trust and Landing Page Conversions<\/h2>\n<p>For their experiment, BrightLocal divided their participants into two groups: a control group of 30 percent of the participants who were showed landing pages that had no ratings or reviews displayed, and test groups with the rest of the participants who were shown different landing pages, some with reviews and some without.<\/p>\n<p>According to BrightLocal: \u201cThe panelists were asked to imagine they were searching online for a local plumber, florist or realtor. We showed the consumers two landing pages\u2014one page that highlighted an actual customer\u2019s review about the business and another page where the business said they were the \u2018dependable\u2019 company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor this research study, we tracked whether consumers picked the businesses with or without the customer review on the landing pages. Additionally, we asked consumers to give us feedback on a variety of other factors that impacted their decisions and opinions of these \u2018sample\u2019 businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/prospectamarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/landing-pages-with-and-without-online-reviews.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-322\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-322\" src=\"https:\/\/prospectamarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/landing-pages-with-and-without-online-reviews.png\" alt=\"landing page conversions\" width=\"800\" height=\"478\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.prospectamarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/landing-pages-with-and-without-online-reviews.png 800w, https:\/\/dev.prospectamarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/landing-pages-with-and-without-online-reviews-300x179.png 300w, https:\/\/dev.prospectamarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/landing-pages-with-and-without-online-reviews-768x459.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The results showed that <strong>83 percent found the business with the consumer review on the landing page to be trustworthy<\/strong>.
